WaterAid Cinema Commercial

This shoot was tough with the weather. We had spent 10 days or so waking up at 4am for nice light only to be disappointed after 2 hours down muddy tracks to see drizzly sunrises each morning. This wasn't our only film on the hit list for the trip but one that we were really keen to nail. We used our superhuman fixer and photographer extraordinaire- Ernest and asked him if he knew of any grandpa's and granddaughters nearby who had recently been given water intervention by WaterAid. After a few more hours down various dirt tracks, we found Albert and family. After interviewing him we headed home to write up a voice-over script-based as closely to his answers as possible. The next day was one of the only nice sunrises of the entire trip, and we made it to Alberts village just in time. After the commercial was shot, we recorded Alberts's voice over in the back of the truck. He loved the script so much he kept ad-libbing 'my family is my happiness' after each answer.
